You Were Made for This: Living on Purpose in Christ

Have you ever asked yourself, “Why am I here?” or “What’s the point of all of this?”
If so, you’re not alone.

Many of us go through seasons where we feel lost or uncertain—wondering if we’re just floating through life, or if there’s something more. I want to gently remind you today: there is something more. Your life has purpose, and not just any purpose—a God-ordained, Christ-centered, predestined purpose.

You Were Chosen Before You Were Born

Let that truth settle in for a moment.

Ephesians 1:4-5 (NLT) tells us,

“Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in His eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ.”

That means your life is not an accident. Your gifts, your personality, your passions, even your pain—none of it is wasted. God had a plan for your life before you ever took your first breath.

Predestined With a Purpose

When we hear the word “predestined,” it can feel big and unreachable. But in the kingdom of God, it’s actually a beautiful invitation. God isn’t a distant ruler randomly assigning purposes—He’s a loving Father who designed you with intentionality.

Romans 8:29-30 (MSG) puts it this way:

“God knew what He was doing from the very beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love Him along the same lines as the life of His Son… After God made that decision of what His children should be like, He followed it up by calling people by name.”

Yes, beloved—He called you by name.

Living Life on Purpose

Living in purpose doesn’t always mean big stages, loud platforms, or titles. It might look like raising your children in the love of God, starting that business that glorifies Him, being a faithful friend, or simply choosing obedience day by day.

Purpose is lived out in the small moments just as much as the grand ones.

But here’s the key: purpose starts with surrender.

It’s about aligning your heart with God’s and saying, “Lord, I may not have it all figured out, but I trust that You do. Lead me.”
And as you walk with Him, He reveals more. Step by step. Layer by layer. Until one day you look back and realize—you’ve been living in purpose all along.

You Are Fully Known and Fully Called

You don’t have to strive to create your own significance. You don’t have to hustle to be noticed. You are already known, chosen, and set apart in Christ Jesus. The pressure is off. The invitation is on the table.

He’s not asking you to be perfect—He’s asking you to be willing.

Take a Moment:
Pause and pray:
“Lord, show me the purpose You’ve already placed within me. Help me to walk in it daily and to trust that You’ve predestined me for good works in Christ Jesus. In Jesus' name. Amen

You were made for this.
Not just to exist—but to live a life that reflects the beauty, power, and purpose of your Creator.

With love,
